Infrared Thermocouples are manufactured with different field of view ratio's that vary from 1:1, 2:1,10:1, 5:1, 20:1 or 1:2. This field of view represents a distant to target ratio, where the diameter of the target is a factor of the distance that the infrared sensor is from the object to be measured and the optics of the sensor. For example a infrared sensor with a field of view of 5:1 will give us a 1" spot if held 5" away from the object to be measured. A sensor with a 1:2 field of view would give us a 2" diameter spot if placed 1" away from the object to be measured. Infrared Thermocouples Features:
