Tubular Heaters: Tubular Heating Elements
Tubular Heaters: Tubular Heating Elements Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) are capable of being formed into virtually any configuration. The basic tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) design consists of a helical coil of nickel-chromium resistance wire precisely centered in a metal sheath. This coil is surrounded by magnesium oxide powder which is vibration loaded to insure even density throughout the length of the heater. This entire assembly is then reduced to the finished diameter, compacting the MgO and "freezing" the coil in the center of the heater. The range of ratings, sizes, materials and terminations available makes the tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) adaptable to many industrial, commercial and scientific applications. Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) provide a highly efficient, reliable and cost effective means of supplying heat directly to air, various types of liquids and metal. Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) are versatile because they can be formed into many configurations. They are used in lower temperature applications to heat liquids, air, gasses, and the surface of materials. Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) provide an economical, robust, and versatile heat source. Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) are commonly used to fit into milled grooves for hot runner molding systems. The precision fit optimizes heat transfer to the working surface. Heaters Controls & Sensors can provide formed tubular heaters (tubular heating elements)"ready to go into your existing channel or new tool design. Tubular heaters (tubular heating elements) are made of incolloy and can be bent into all shapes and sizes. The following diagrams provide various formations that are possible, kindly chose the formation you require by Type Number. Tubular Heaters Sheath Materials:
Other sheath materials are also available for application considerations. Commonly specified are 316 stainless steel and Carpenter 20 stainless steel for corrosive immersion heating, copper clad steel for metal casting, Inconel for high temperature applications, and titanium for severely corrosive solution heating. Porcelain and ceramic coatings can also be provided for corrosive atmospheres in process air applications, immersion heating, or for other application considerations.
Tubular Heaters Types:
To order tubular heaters (tubular heating elements): specify formation type number, voltage, wattage, tubular elements diameter and type of termination, or consult HCS for quick pricing and delivery details.
